Every Morning, A Cat Goes Out In Search Of A Giant Leaf To Give To Her Owner
Baloo the cat definitely likes her devoted owner, Ben, but she doesn’t believe he’s a very good hunter.
As a devoted little house panther, she took up the task of hunting for him.

The adorable feline had developed a practice of catching creatures in their backyard and surprised Ben with them in the morning as he lay in bed as a mark of her gratitude. Baloo would usually bring in little mice, but he would also bring in small birds on occasion.
Her prey was never damaged since the cat seemed to know how to grab and transport them softly.

Ben told The Dodo, “I’d wake up to her on my chest with something in her mouth, which she’d then drop on my face or chest, and then meow.” “I’m not sure if she intended me to assume it was breakfast or just a present.”
Because Baloo’s “gifts” were always alive, Ben was compelled to capture them and then release them outside.
It’s safe to assume that Baloo’s unwelcome philanthropy had a negative impact on everyone.

Baloo was surprised by Ben’s apparent lack of appreciation for her hard-won presents.
“She usually seemed perplexed and depressed, which made me feel horrible,” Ben explained.

Baloo ultimately realized that creatures from the backyard weren’t necessarily what her human desired. Rather than stop looking for items for Ben, she just changed the types of gifts she was providing.
If he doesn’t like mice or birds, perhaps a leaf will appeal to him. It was, in fact, the case.

“It took a few months for her to stop giving me presents and start bringing me leaves. They were usually large, attractive leaves “Ben stated his opinion. “I would demonstrate my thanks by grabbing the leaf and playing with it as she perched on my chest since it was such a relief from the live mice every morning.”
The message had reached Baloo. The cat would subsequently select a beautiful leaf every morning and bring it in to Ben:
“She was aware that she was now engaged in some activity.”

Baloo would occasionally surprise Ben in the morning with a twig instead of a leaf, just to change things up.

Ben, and no likely all the tiny critters in the backyard that she used to chase, were grateful for Baloo’s change of heart.
“Thinking of her on a dawn expedition to find a present for her human melts my heart,” Ben remarked.
